Grief is not one thing. It changes shape, shifts tone, and arrives in different weather. This series explores three movements of grief — not stages, not steps, but ways grief meets us across time.
Part One looks at grief as sudden weather: the storm that knocks us flat, the force that rearranges our inner world without warning.
Part Two explores grief as companion: the presence that sits beside us, steady and tender, reminding us that sorrow is a measure of love.
Part Three turns toward the quiet widening that comes later: the moment when grief begins to make space, allowing breath, possibility, and the returning light of a life still healing.
Together, these pieces honor grief as a living process — unpredictable, sacred, and deeply human. They offer language for what cannot always be spoken, and companionship for those walking through their own weather.
Aurora is an earth‑based minister and ritualist rooted on the coast of Maine. She tends Sanctified Ground, her earth‑rooted ministry space, and writes North of Ordinary, where she explores Earthways, belonging, kinship, and the quiet presences that shape a life.
