Animal and Land Chaplaincy
Animal chaplaincy offers support for both animals and humans, advocating for their wellbeing and companionship particularly during through times of loss and grief.
By engaging in land blessings, we become keenly aware of the environmental issues facing our planet. It encourages us to take action to protect and preserve the earth, promoting sustainable practices and responsible stewardship.

Animal Companions
A pet who has become family weaves themselves into our days with a kind of steady, wordless companionship that shapes how we love and how we feel at home.
When that bond deepens, so do the emotions that arise around change, aging, and loss. Animal chaplaincy companionship offers a compassionate place to bring those feelings—gratitude, grief, confusion, tenderness—and to honor the sacredness of the relationship.
Through gentle presence, ritual, and acknowledgment of the life shared, it helps people navigate the transition with dignity and meaning, allowing love and memory to remain steady companions.

Furry Wake
Similar to human rites of passage, we also honor joyful moments, such as welcoming a new pet, and at the end of that relationship, acknowledge times of loss with a 'furry wake' to celebrate their life. Animal chaplaincy can manifest in different ways. Whether you're with your pet at home, enjoying nature, or facing end-of-life care, animal chaplaincy can provide support.
We connect in person or talk over the phone—whichever is most comfortable for you. If you have any questions, I'm here to assist you.

Land Blessings
A land blessing is a profound act of respect and gratitude for the earth. It is a moment to acknowledge our interconnectedness with all living creatures and our responsibility as stewards of the land.
Whether performed alone or with others, a land blessing can foster a deep connection to nature, promote environmental awareness, and enhance mental well-being.
Although the land is sacred and needs no human to make it otherwise, as we continue to face environmental challenges, the practice of land blessing serves as a reminder of the importance of caring for the earth and preserving its beauty for all beings we share this planet with along with generations to come.
Non-Clinical Care Rev Pamela ‘Aurora’ Hunt offers animal chaplaincy as spiritual care for animals and the beloved humans who walk beside them — not as veterinary medicine or professional animal health advice. Animal chaplaincy is a ministry of presence, prayer, and compassion; it does not replace veterinary treatment and is never a substitute for the professional medical care your animal deserves. Aurora does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for animals in any medical capacity whatsoever. This ministry simply honors the sacred bond between species, holding space for grief, transition, and the quiet holiness of our relationships with the creatures we love.
